Schedule of Events for Freshman Orientation

All events are subject to change without notice.

7:30-8:15 am Check-in at Lawlor Events Center.
8:15 am New Student Opening Ceremony.
9:30 am Programming: Attend important sessions to learn more information about your life and rights as a student, talking with your SOS leader and finding out important facts about campus. Lunch will be provided.
1:30 pm Nickel and Dimed Book Discussion Groups: led By University of Nevada Faculty. All incoming freshman are required to read this book by Barbara Ehrenreich before New Student Orientation.
2:00pm - ? Open Houses & Evening Activities

7:30 - 8:00 am Mix & Mingle: Meet the dean, faculty and advisors from your major and college. You and your parents will learn more about how to make the most of you academic future.
8:00 am Academic Sessions: Attend important sessions to learn more information about your life as a student.
9:30 am Programming check in at Fitzgerald Student Services Lawn.
1:00 pm Pack BBQ: The University of Nevada, Reno welcomes you and your family to the historic quad for a celebration of your new life as a university student!
