Becoming part of the Wolf Pack isn’t just what happens in the classroom, it is also what
happens outside of class. During these four days, you will have many opportunities to learn
more about University of Nevada, Reno's campus and the Reno-Tahoe community. Take time to have a
little fun and find out what being a part of the Pack is all about!

Before you get to campus
- Pay bills online, buy books online and get your Wolf Card (Student ID) at the Joe Crowley Student Union.
Wednesday, August 20th
- 10 am Dorm Storm. Start moving into your Residence Hall.
Thursday, August 21st
- 2:00- 5:00 pm Center for Cultural Diversity Open House Joe Crowley Student Union, 3rd Floor. Services, clubs and organizations
affiliated with the Center will be highlighted as well as explanation of what will be included in new building. Students and
families can also meet other students and staff who are resources for students’ success.
- 2:00- 5:00 pm Career Development Open House Thompson Building, 2nd floor. All career related services
will be highlighted along with descriptions of upcoming events and available technology to assist students with the
planning for their future in the career field.
- 3:00- 5:00 pm University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) Open House Virginia Street Gym, Room 5. Students and
families will have the opportunity to ask in-depth questions about the different study abroad programs, as well as meet the
staff who will be helping them meet their goal of studying in another country.
- 3:00- 5:00 pm ASUN Bookstore Open House Joe Crowley Student Union, 1st floor. Students and families will have the
chance to stock up on Nevada gear as well as learn how to buy books. The Computer Den will also be available for questions about
laptop and other technology purchases.
- 3:00- 6:00 pm Campus Recreation & Wellness Open House Lombardi Recreation, 1st floor. Tours will be provided
to students and families of the numerous facilities and programs available, including intramural sports, workout facilities,
and recreation programs.
- 3:00- 6:00 pm Library/Information Technology Open House Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. Library tours will be
given, highlighting services available to help students with academics. Staff will also be available to answer questions about
technology, such as e-mail and NetID. Web/ e-mail access will be available to families.
- 4:00- 5:00 pm University of Nevada Medical School Open House Pennington Building, Room 12. Students and parents are welcome to attend a
special session on the Nevada Medical School, outlining information on how students can best prepare themselves before applying.
A panel of students and faculty will be present for questions.
- 6:30 pm Mandatory Residence Hall Community Meetings For students living in the Residence Halls. See your
RA for more information.
- 7:30 pm Mackay Stadium Madness Students will have the opportunity to check out Mackay Stadium, home to the
Nevada Wolf Pack football team, for a night of fun activities including a comedian. Information about Wolf Pack Athletics
will be available.
Friday, August 22nd

learn more about the benefits or being involved in Greek Life. Representatives from different fraternities and sororities will be
available to answer questions, as well as the Coordinator of Greek Life and Leadership.
- 3:00- 6:00 pm Campus Recreation & Wellness Open House Lombardi Recreation, 1st floor. Tours will be provided
to students and families of the numerous facilities and programs available, including intramural sports, workout facilities,
and recreation programs.

- 6:00 pm-11:00 pm Friday Festival on the Quad: For new and current students and their families:
on the main University Quad will be inflatables, live local bands, A Taste of Reno, face painting, volleyball
and much more!
Saturday, August 23rd
- 9:00 am- noon Paint the N with the Blue Crew. Meet at the JTSU Parking lot.
- 7:00 pm Block Party between Nye and Canada Halls (must have student ID)
